Tung Oil is a traditional finish for quality woodwork. Also known as China Nut Oil, it has been used for more than 500 years. Grown in northern India and China, the oil is pressed from the nuts and is light amber in colour.
Once cured (polymerised), it dries to the touch rather than staying oily. We recommend 2 coats on chairs and table bases, and 3 coats on table tops and kitchen bench tops.
