Description:
This bowl is made from Ash planted about 100 years ago on a Weber sheep and cattle station. The tree was beginning to lose its branches, so the owner had it felled.
It has been fumed with ammonia, which reacts with the tannin in the timber, bringing out the grain and giving a rich, deep honey colour. The bowl has a softly rolled rim and strong flowing figure. A warm, well-shaped bowl for the table.
Finish: Hand-finished with 100% food-safe Tung oil.
