Description:
This bowl is made from Macrocarpa, one of the first trees grown in New Zealand to shelter windy farms, especially near the coast. It tends to be very branchy. Most Macrocarpa trees were planted and then left to fend for themselves. The timber has a wonderful smell and interesting knots, and is sometimes called “poor man’s Kauri”. A characterful bowl for everyday use.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
