This bowl is made from Macrocarpa, one of the first trees grown in New Zealand to shelter windy farms, especially near the coast. It has a wonderful smell and is sometimes called “poor man’s Kauri”.
This is a classic rounded bowl in warm honey-brown timber. The grain moves gently across the interior, with a small dark check on the outside wall. A well-shaped bowl for daily use.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
