This bowl is made from NZ Native Kowhai, which grows exceptionally well in the Tararua District and is often self-seeded by native birds under hedges and fruit trees. The yellow flowers are among New Zealand’s best-loved.
This piece has deep, moody grain, with a few touches of blue resin. A quieter, darker Kowhai bowl for everyday use.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
