This bowl is made from NZ Native Kowhai, which grows exceptionally well in the Tararua District and is readily self-seeded by native birds under hedge and fruit-tree rows. The bright yellow flowers are one of New Zealand’s most iconic.
It is like a twin to NZ Native Kowhai Resin Bowl – 2036, but this one has more striking blue resin. The grain is deep and moody, and the resin gives the piece something extra to say. A bold companion bowl.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
