This bowl is made from NZ Native Pohutukawa, a heavy, dark, moody timber found growing naturally near the frost-free coast in very limited supply, and also planted for landscaping. This timber was given to Ron to turn on the lathe, to save it from being burnt as firewood. A practical and fine looking bowl for everyday use.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
