Description:
This orb is turned from NZ Native Red Beech, a reddish timber from a tree in our front yard. The tree was felled after a storm damaged a high branch and breakdown got into the main trunk, making it a hazard to the footpath. Bright red resin fills natural splits in the sphere. It sits on a small turned base. A display piece for a desk or shelf.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
