This bowl is made from Red Oak that came from a residential section in Havelock North. Red Oak has a warm reddish-pink colour that is more flamboyant than White Oak. This piece is a shallow, open bowl with even, sweeping grain that fans across the interior. Fine medullary-ray fleck shows through the surface, giving it extra texture in the light. A clean, generous bowl for serving.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
