This bowl is made from Red Oak that came from a residential section in Havelock North. Red Oak has a warm reddish-pink colour that is more flamboyant than White Oak. This piece has even, open grain with clear medullary-ray fleck across the interior, and a darker streak along one side of the rim. A compact, well-shaped bowl for daily use.
Finish: Hand finished with Tung oil and Wax.
