Oak Sideboard - a new lease of life

After careful cleaning, structural repairs and a full refinish, this oak sideboard has been brought back to life. The badly rotted rear legs were rebuilt, the water-damaged top was restored, and the original character of the timber was revealed once more. The doors and drawers now clearly show the medullary rays typical of unstained oak, while the hardware was replaced with pieces in keeping with the age of the sideboard. Fully restored and refinished, it now takes pride of place in the client’s dining room.
